Summer 2027 Business Intelligence Analyst Intern- Master's (Santa Clara, CA)

Location: Santa Clara, CA

What you will do

• Support the development and enhancement of Power BI and Tableau dashboards, reports, presentations, and visualizations.
• Analyze business performance data to identify trends, opportunities, and actionable insights.
• Develop SQL queries and maintain analytical datasets in Databricks.
• Perform data validation, cleansing, quality assurance, testing, and deployment support.
• Support KPI definitions, metric governance, business documentation, reporting automation, and self-service analytics.
• Work with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and support AI-enabled analytics, natural language analytics, and data discovery initiatives.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Knowledge of SQL and core database concepts.
• Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, or another data visualization tool; coursework and personal projects count.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication, presentation, teamwork, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Basic understanding of data warehousing and data modeling concepts.

Nice to have

• Exposure to Python, Databricks, or a cloud-based analytics platform.
• A class project, competition, or prior internship analyzing a real dataset from start to finish.
• Ability to learn quickly and work comfortably in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to validate data, interpret results carefully, and communicate insights to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Interest in data, analytics, and business intelligence, plus curiosity, ownership, attention to detail, and independent learning ability.
