Director, Product Management (Instore Selling)

Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Total compensation: $220,000–$250,000 CAD for candidates hired to work within Ontario.

What you will do

• Define and communicate a multi-year product strategy and vision across the instore selling portfolio.
• Guide investment, prioritization, and trade-off decisions using customer insights, data, market dynamics, competitive intelligence, and business outcomes.
• Own strategy, execution, and measurable outcomes across multiple product areas, platforms, or a substantial portfolio.
• Identify portfolio-wide opportunities and systemic challenges, translating strategy into objectives, investment priorities, and operating practices.
• Hire, develop, coach, and retain product leaders and managers while strengthening product practices and organizational capabilities.
• Build executive and cross-functional alignment and communicate complex customer, market, and business challenges clearly.

Requirements

• Significant product management experience in software or technology companies, with measurable business and customer impact across multiple product areas.
• Experience setting and executing strategy at portfolio, platform, business unit, or organizational level beyond a single product or team.
• Strong strategic and portfolio management capabilities, including investment prioritization, trade-off navigation, and high-impact decision-making across multiple planning horizons.
• Experience leading through product leaders and managers, including hiring, developing, coaching, and building high-performing teams and leadership capabilities.
• Deep understanding of product discovery, delivery, experimentation, and outcome-based planning.
• Ability to translate customer insights, market trends, competitive intelligence, and business objectives into clear product strategies and measurable outcomes.
• Ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels across Engineering, Design, Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance, Legal, and other functions.
• Exceptional strategic thinking, judgment, customer advocacy, retailer empathy, communication, storytelling, and alignment-building skills.
• Collaborative, low-ego leadership style with resilience, curiosity, a bias toward action, continuous learning, and measurable impact.
• University degree or equivalent practical experience.
