Business Intelligence Engineer II (AI)

Base salary: $102,500–$189,000 per year.

What you will do

• Own analytics solutions from business requirements through deployment and adoption, delivering datasets, dashboards, and analytical tools.
• Build reusable data models and data foundations with complex SQL, Python, relational databases, and data from multiple sources.
• Develop reporting, anomaly detection, operational monitoring, and dashboards or applications using Tableau, Streamlit, Plotly, or similar tools.
• Apply approved AI tools to SQL and Python development, exploratory analysis, documentation, prototyping, text classification, summarization, and customer-interaction analysis.
• Build and evaluate AI-enabled self-service experiences grounded in governed data and defined metrics.
• Measure business impact through statistical analysis and hypothesis testing while ensuring data quality, explainability, privacy, security, and effective stakeholder communication.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or a related role.
• Strong SQL skills, including complex joins, window functions, query optimization, and relational databases.
• Proficiency in Python for data analysis and automation, including pandas, matplotlib, or Plotly.
• Experience building dashboards or analytical applications with Tableau, Power BI, Streamlit, Plotly, or similar tools.
• Experience with data modeling, ETL/ELT, data-quality validation, and defining consistent business metrics.
• Working knowledge of statistics, hypothesis testing, and analytical methods, including distinguishing correlation from causation.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted analytics or development workflows, including verifying generated code and insights and recognizing unreliable outputs.
• Ability to navigate ambiguous business questions, independently deliver measurable solutions, communicate technical findings to nontechnical audiences, use version control, and maintain documented, reproducible analytical work.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS, Azure, GCP, or modern data warehouses.
• Experience analyzing Customer Care, contact center, retail, or e-commerce data.
• Experience integrating large language models into analytical workflows through approved APIs or enterprise tools.
• Familiarity with grounding AI outputs in trusted data, evaluating response quality, and designing appropriate human review.
• Experience with text analytics, customer feedback classification, or conversation-data analysis.
• Exposure to streaming data, workflow orchestration, automated monitoring, or experimentation.
