Senior Logistics Advisor

Location: Chantilly, Virginia, US; Remote. The role supports SDA operations at SDA Meadows 1, Operations Center North, or Operations Center South.

Salary: $150,000–$172,000 USD per year.

What you will do

• Provide expert guidance on DoD property accountability, asset management, and CFO Act, NDAA, and FIAR audit readiness.
• Advise the SDA Accountable Property Officer on logistics policies, procedures, regulations, SOPs, checklists, and documentation.
• Validate that accountable property is recorded in the correct APSR, including ELMS for general equipment and REMIS for weapon-system assets.
• Monitor acquisitions, transfers, loans, inventories, disposals, supporting documentation, and required timelines.
• Guide inventory reconciliation and FLIPL preparation, investigation, and processing.
• Coordinate supply chain, materiel management, transportation, GSA/DLA procurement, mission-partner property oversight, project reporting, and liaison activities.

Requirements

• 10+ years of technical knowledge of DoD property accountability requirements and property asset management procedures.
• Strong technical knowledge of ELMS, formerly DPAS.
• 5+ years of hands-on ELMS/DPAS experience as an Accountable Property Officer, Deputy APO, or Property Administrator.
• Ability to author clear and concise technical documentation, including regulations, manuals, and SOPs.
• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.

Nice to have

• Property accountability experience in a Defense Agency or military branch, including USSF, USAF, USA, USN, or USMC.
• PMP certification or hands-on project management experience.
• Familiarity with SDA, the Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture, and supporting ground systems.
• Ability to multitask and solve problems creatively.
