Location: Hybrid in Rahway, New Jersey, or West Point, Pennsylvania, United States. The position is for US and Puerto Rico residents only; no relocation is available.

Salary: $39,908–$111,111 USD.

What you will do

• Support strategic sourcing, product and service procurement, supplier performance improvement, cost reduction, supplier diversity, working capital, and supplier relationship management.
• Analyze supplier markets, supply risks, category spend, savings, compliance, and other procurement metrics.
• Build cost models and purchase price analyses for supplied goods and services.
• Execute RFIs, RFPs, e-auctions, procurement processes, contract negotiations, and post-negotiation follow-up.
• Assess supplier risk, compliance, financial solvency, and mitigation plans while maintaining procurement data and reporting systems, including SAP.
• Collaborate with Legal, Finance, Procure-to-Pay, internal stakeholders, category teams, and external suppliers.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled as a sophomore or junior pursuing a bachelor's degree in business, finance, management, supply chain management, manufacturing, market research, communications, or a science-related discipline such as engineering, statistics, biology, chemistry, biochemistry, or bioengineering.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, written communication, presentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills, with sensitivity to cultural differences in communication.
• Strong data collection, analysis, and reporting skills and excellent project management skills.
• Ability to work independently with flexibility and adaptability in ambiguous and dynamic situations.
• Ability and motivation to learn technical, business, and commercial skills.
• Experience with SharePoint and enterprise social media, specifically Teams and Yammer, plus familiarity with business communication, marketing, or journalism principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Demonstrated excellent academic achievement.

Nice to have

• Prior pharmaceutical industry or Fortune 500 company experience.
• Experience with SharePoint or similar collaboration websites.
• Experience with TIBCO Spotfire or other data analytics and visualization tools.
• Experience using Excel to manage large datasets.
