Senior Compliance & Quality Engineer (Unattended Retail)

Location: United Kingdom; based in the London hub.

What you will do

• Define and govern the regulatory roadmap for hardware product lines across the UK, EU, and North America.
• Lead certification submissions and lifecycle management for UKCA, CE, UL, and FCC markings.
• Coordinate testing with external laboratories, notified bodies, and regulatory agencies, resolving compliance gaps.
• Maintain Technical Construction Files, Declarations of Conformity, and supporting evidence in an audit-ready state.
• Oversee the QMS and drive continuous improvement aligned with ISO 9001 or similar frameworks.
• Embed compliance by design and monitor field failures and non-conformances with engineering and relevant teams, supporting root cause analysis.

Requirements

• 8–10+ years of experience in product compliance or quality engineering, including a proven track record in a Senior or Lead role.
• Expert-level knowledge of international certification standards.
• Experience with CE Marking, including EMC, Low Voltage/Machinery Directives, RED, and RoHS, as well as UKCA.
• Knowledge of UL and FCC safety standards for North America.
• Experience managing Technical Files, User Manuals, and compliance labels for global markets.
• Strong analytical skills for interpreting complex regulatory legal text and translating it into actionable engineering requirements for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
