Factory Certification Engineer

Location: Onsite from the Stonehouse, Gloucestershire, United Kingdom location.

What you will do

• Lead and coordinate factory and product certification programs throughout the product life cycle.
• Support customers with the preparation and hosting of Factory Acceptance Tests.
• Act as the primary contact for notified bodies, managing assessments and responding to technical queries, observations, and non-conformances.
• Lead internal audits, regulatory inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain and improve the site Quality Management System to support continued compliance with international, national, and customer-specific standards.
• Review technical documentation for EU Declarations of Conformity and other regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Experience in product certification, regulatory compliance, or a similar engineering role.
• A degree or equivalent qualification in engineering or another relevant technical discipline; alternative technical qualifications with relevant practical experience are also considered.
• ISO 9001 Lead Auditor qualification and knowledge of managing an audit program.
• Experience preparing and reviewing technical files, certification applications, and conformity assessment documentation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Nice to have

• Experience with global or industry-specific certifications such as UL, CSA, FM, MCERTS, Marine, or drinking water approvals.
