Sr. Microsoft 365 & Modern Workplace Engineer

Location: Remote in the United States; open to 15–25% travel to South Carolina and travel across North America and Europe for plant deployments, facility expansions, and site assessments.

Conversion base salary: mid-$130Ks to upper-$160Ks depending on experience. Initial contract period is paid hourly on a W2 basis.

What you will do

• Serve as the enterprise subject matter expert and provide technical leadership for Microsoft 365 collaboration, identity, endpoint management, and productivity platforms.
• Architect, implement, optimize, and govern scalable Microsoft 365 solutions, including Teams, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Microsoft 365 Apps, and Power Platform solutions.
• Lead identity and access management initiatives covering SSO, MFA, Conditional Access, enterprise applications, identity governance, and automated provisioning and deprovisioning.
• Administer Intune and develop PowerShell and Microsoft Graph API automation for provisioning, administration, reporting, and user lifecycle management.
• Provide Tier III support, resolve complex cloud, identity, collaboration, and endpoint issues, and lead upgrades, lifecycle management, roadmap initiatives, and continuous improvement.
• Partner with infrastructure, security, endpoint, service desk, and business applications teams; support plant deployments and communicate technical recommendations to stakeholders.

Requirements

• At least seven years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure, Microsoft cloud technologies, modern workplace engineering, or a related field.
• Advanced hands-on experience designing, administering, and optimizing enterprise Microsoft 365 environments, including Teams, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Microsoft 365 Apps.
• Strong expertise in Entra ID, SSO, MFA, Conditional Access, enterprise applications, identity lifecycle management, identity governance, security controls, and compliance.
• Advanced Intune experience covering endpoint configuration, policies, device management, and security compliance.
• Proficiency with PowerShell and Microsoft Graph API automation, plus experience with Power Platform solutions and enterprise productivity integrations.
• Experience leading large-scale enterprise technology projects from planning and design through implementation and optimization.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical teams, business stakeholders, and leadership.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
