Microsoft Infrastructure Engineer

What you will do

• Administer and support Microsoft server, cloud, and workplace technologies across a large Microsoft estate.
• Lead infrastructure modernization, Windows Server migration, Active Directory upgrades, tiering, and business continuity initiatives.
• Manage Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Defender, OneDrive, and Entra ID as a Global Administrator.
• Support Windows imaging with Microsoft Deployment Toolkit and migrate on-premises file shares to OneDrive and public folders to Exchange Online.
• Resolve complex Level 2 and Level 3 incidents, govern Group Policy, and improve security controls and endpoint protection.
• Automate infrastructure operations with PowerShell, maintain technical documentation, and present proposals to governance and architecture review boards.

Requirements

• 4–6+ years of experience in Microsoft infrastructure support and administration.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2016/2022/2025, Active Directory, Entra ID/Azure AD, Microsoft 365 and Office 365 administration.
• Experience with Group Policy management, Microsoft Teams administration, Microsoft Defender, OneDrive administration, Windows 11 support, Microsoft Deployment Toolkit, PowerShell, Data Loss Prevention, file server administration, and Microsoft System Center.
• Experience managing security permissions and identity services.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience creating technical documentation.
• Microsoft Server certification from 2016 or later.
• Ability to design and implement infrastructure, provide technical leadership and ownership, manage stakeholders, apply a security-first mindset, drive continuous improvement, share knowledge, manage risks and issues, and handle multiple priorities and projects.

• SharePoint Online and SharePoint 2019.
• Exchange Server 2010/2016 and Exchange public folder migration.
• Hyper-V, Microsoft Copilot, and Microsoft Azure.
• Sysinternals, advanced troubleshooting tools, debugging, and root cause analysis experience.
