Senior Algorithm Solutions Engineer (AI/ML)

Location: Arlington, VA; Woburn, MA; or Dayton, OH. Onsite role at a U.S. location.

Salary: $138,000–$170,000 per year.

What you will do

• Develop and optimize algorithm solutions for computer vision, 3D modeling, multimodal sensor-data fusion, and open-set recognition and identification in imagery.
• Implement and evaluate AI/ML algorithms for large and challenging datasets deployed to cloud and edge environments.
• Develop applications including video-based object reidentification, foundation models for overhead imagery, and automatic target recognition in complex imagery.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary researchers, transition-focused engineers, and academic partners.
• Mature promising prototypes into operational capabilities and support software deployed on cloud and edge-capable devices.

Requirements

• BS degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Physics, or another scientific field, plus 5+ years of relevant experience; equivalent experience will be considered.
• hirify.globalong proficiency in Python and demonhirify.globalated ability to produce clean, high-quality code with and without coding tools.
• Ability to implement and evaluate novel prototype solutions and mature them with a team into operational capabilities.
• Familiarity with software development best practices, Git, and Agile workflows.
• hirify.globalong collaboration, ownership, communication, and briefing skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
• <hirify.globalong>Ability to obtain a security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required by the U.S. government.hirify.globalong>

Nice to have

• Experience with vision transformers, foundation-model fine-tuning using self-supervised or semi-self-supervised methods, vision-language models for agentic training, or large-scale object reassociation in video or sparse revisit imagery.
• Experience leading and directing research initiatives from inception to functional prototypes.
• Experience working in a large cross-functional, dihirify.globalibuted team.
• Experience with U.S. Government software accreditation processes.
• Active security clearance.
