CO Strategic Initiatives AIML Expert (AI/ML)

Location: Tlaquepaque, Jalisco, Mexico. Onsite role with 25% travel; relocation is not offered.

What you will do

• Drive Generative AI and Machine Learning adoption across hirify.global’s Commercial Organization by identifying business challenges and developing scalable solutions.
• Validate use cases and backlog priorities with the AI & Automation Product Owner, assessing technical feasibility and reuse of existing ML and GenAI assets.
• Design, build, fine-tune, evaluate, deploy, and monitor predictive ML models and GenAI solutions using Azure, Databricks, and enterprise platforms.
• Architect RAG systems, LLM-based tools, chat interfaces, search augmentation solutions, and virtual assistants.
• Work with business stakeholders and cross-functional data, cloud, ML/GenAI, and RPA teams to connect technical outcomes to business results.
• Communicate insights to non-technical audiences, mentor junior team members and citizen developers, and evaluate external vendors and technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
• Typically 6–8 years of hands-on experience developing and deploying ML and/or GenAI solutions in a business context, ideally in sales, operations, or enterprise functions.
• Proficiency in Python, with experience in PySpark and Databricks for scalable data pipelines and model training.
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure services, including Azure Machine Learning, Azure AI Search, Azure OpenAI, Azure Functions, or Azure Kubernetes Service.
• Experience with containerization and deployment frameworks such as Docker, AKS, or serverless options.
• Ability to design, train, and deploy supervised and unsupervised ML models, including model evaluation, hyperparameter tuning, and production monitoring.
• Knowledge of LLMs, prompt engineering, vector databases such as FAISS or Pinecone, and RAG architectures, with experience building or integrating GenAI chat interfaces or knowledge assistants.
• Solid understanding of statistical modeling, feature engineering, and regression, classification, clustering, and time-series algorithms.
• Business acumen, analytical and problem-solving skills, program management capability, and the ability to translate technical results into actionable recommendations.
• Strong written, verbal, presentation, collaboration, negotiation, and communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders; proficiency in English is required.
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional and globally distributed virtual teams and execute programs within overall strategies.

Nice to have

• Experience with MLOps and model lifecycle management.
• Exposure to ethical AI practices, responsible AI frameworks, or enterprise compliance.
• Knowledge of foundation models, self-supervised learning, applied research, vector databases, and other emerging GenAI and ML technologies.
