Systems Test Engineer (RF/Microwave)

Location: Tempe, Arizona, United States

Salary: $120,500–$190,000 annually; $149,500–$224,500 annually for specific locations in San Jose, the San Francisco Bay Area, and the New York City metropolitan area.

What you will do

• Gather test requirements with RF Design Engineers, Digital Engineers, manufacturing, and program management.
• Develop test plans, test station hardware, test software, hardware bills of materials, and technical documentation.
• Select and calibrate test equipment and perform RF and digital testing of custom hardware and sub-assemblies.
• Test, debug, troubleshoot, and analyze results for hirify.global hardware from requirements reviews through production readiness and production.
• Write test and calibration procedures, communicate program status, and train or mentor technicians and test engineers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of test automation and test design experience.
• Experience leading a test development effort.
• Programming proficiency in one or more of Python, C#, Java, and LabVIEW.
• Ability to work with incomplete requirements and tolerate ambiguity.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and in a team.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, a related program, or equivalent experience.
• US citizenship is required.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Secret Clearance.
• Up to 10% travel.

Nice to have

• Experience designing and automating RF test systems.
• Understanding of RF amplifiers, mixers, oscillators, and transceivers.
• Experience programming and controlling test equipment through SCPI commands.
• Understanding of object-oriented programming.
• Experience with oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, noise figure meters, and signal generators.
