Client Finance Manager (m/w/d)

Location: Munich, Germany; hybrid model with a strong on-site presence and office attendance approximately three days a week, plus flexible work-from-home days.

What you will do

• Support the Finance Director with financial accounting close activities and management accounts.
• Ensure compliance with tax, treasury, statutory, SOX audit, and other legal requirements, coordinating with hirify.global and WPP teams.
• Prepare monthly analyses and ad-hoc management reports for internal decision-making.
• Oversee accounts payable, expense reporting, accounts receivable, cash reconciliations, and fixed asset registers.
• Partner with Client Services and the Finance Director on revenue forecasting, client billing, and complex financial close issues.
• Improve financial procedures, identify cost-saving opportunities, and manage project finance tasks to support profitability.

Requirements

• University degree at Bachelor or Master level in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
• Several years of professional experience in Financial Controlling, Commercial Finance, or as a Commercial Partner, ideally in an agency environment.
• Deep understanding of agency commercial models and pricing strategies.
• Advanced knowledge of financial accounting concepts and systems, FP&A best practices, and SOX regulations.
• High proficiency in MS Excel.
• Excellent organisational skills, accuracy, attention to detail, and an action-oriented approach to complex data and management summaries.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and German.
