Senior Mobile Developer (Healthcare)

Location: Lithuania; remote

Develop a healthcare app that supports patient consultations, treatment management, subscriptions, testing, clinician messaging, and daily programmes.

What you will do

• Design, build, release, and monitor mobile features from technical scoping through post-launch.
• Write production-quality native iOS or Android code with strong test coverage.
• Shape mobile architecture, including modularisation, state management, networking, offline behaviour, and cross-platform patterns.
• Partner with product, design, and backend engineers to create accessible patient experiences and efficient, secure APIs.
• Own crash rates, performance, startup time, accessibility, monitoring, analytics, CI/CD, testing, feature flags, phased rollouts, and store releases.
• Protect special category health data and contribute through code reviews, documentation, mentoring, interviewing, and engineering standards.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional mobile app development experience, including at least one consumer app shipped and scaled on the App Store or Google Play.
• Deep native expertise on at least one platform: Swift and SwiftUI for iOS or Kotlin and Jetpack Compose for Android; working knowledge of the other platform is a plus.
• Strong understanding of mobile architecture, including MVVM, unidirectional data flow, dependency injection, and modularisation, with judgement about when to keep solutions simple.
• Experience with unit, UI, and snapshot testing and building testable code.
• Experience with mobile CI/CD and end-to-end release management, such as Fastlane, Bitrise, GitHub Actions, or Xcode Cloud.
• Experience integrating REST or GraphQL APIs and handling authentication, caching, and error states.
• Experience owning large features or product areas and improving team engineering practices.
• Experience mentoring engineers and providing constructive code reviews.
• Clear communication with technical and non-technical colleagues; comfortable working with product and design in agile sprints.
• Care for patients and understanding of privacy and accessibility in health products.

• Working knowledge of the second mobile platform.
