Senior Mobile Developer (iOS/Android)

hirify.global develops a healthcare app where patients complete consultations, manage treatments and subscriptions, book and track tests, message clinicians and health coaches, and follow their programmes.

What you will do

• Design, build, ship, and monitor features across the hirify.global iOS and Android app.
• Write production-quality native code with strong test coverage using Swift and SwiftUI or Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Shape mobile architecture, including modularisation, state management, networking, offline behaviour, and shared platform patterns.
• Collaborate with product, design, and backend engineers on accessible patient experiences and secure API integration.
• Own app quality, including crash rates, performance, startup time, accessibility, monitoring, and analytics.
• Improve CI/CD, automated testing, feature flags, phased rollouts, store releases, documentation, code reviews, mentoring, and candidate interviews.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional mobile app development experience, including at least one consumer app shipped and scaled on the App Store or Google Play.
• Deep expertise in native development on at least one platform: Swift and SwiftUI for iOS or Kotlin and Jetpack Compose for Android.
• Strong understanding of mobile architecture, including patterns such as MVVM, unidirectional data flow, dependency injection, and modularisation.
• Experience with unit, UI, and snapshot testing and building testable code.
• Experience with mobile CI/CD and end-to-end release management, using tools such as Fastlane, Bitrise, GitHub Actions, or Xcode Cloud.
• Experience integrating REST or GraphQL APIs, including authentication, caching, and error handling.
• Experience owning large features or product areas, improving engineering practices, mentoring engineers, and giving constructive code reviews.
• Clear communication with technical and non-technical colleagues and effective collaboration with product and design in agile sprint-based teams.
• Understanding of the importance of privacy and accessibility in healthcare products, including secure storage, authentication, UK GDPR, healthcare requirements, and WCAG accessibility.
