Operational Accounting Associate III-Reconciliations

Location: Hybrid position in Getzville, New York, United States of America.

Salary: $20.55–$34.25 hourly (USD).

What you will do

• Reconcile assigned GL accounts and DDAs accurately and on schedule.
• Identify out-of-balance conditions, unusual items, and aged reconciliation items; research complex issues and system outages.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly accounting reports for Finance, Audit, and SOX reporting.
• Resolve issues and escalate problems appropriately while communicating with cross-functional teams, business partners, and investors.
• Update procedures, support new business initiatives, and participate in audit and regulatory remediation.
• Mentor and train less experienced staff on routine tasks and questions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 3 years of relevant work experience.
• Ability to perform account reconciliations, research discrepancies, prepare accounting reports, and follow applicable policies, procedures, and operational risk controls.
• Ability to support accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP and maintain internal control standards.
