Fullstack Engineer (Backend Focused) (Java/Spring Boot, AWS, Kubernetes): Building production-grade customer account and internal customer support solutions for a fashion and lifestyle omnichannel project with an accent on backend engineering, API design, distributed event processing, and cloud infrastructure. Focus on designing end-to-end services, implementing event-driven and domain-oriented architectures, and maintaining reliable systems with advanced observability.
Location: European Union; workplace: hybrid. The role also offers 100% remote work.

What you will do
- Develop and maintain the customer account area and customer support tool for internal departments in a fashion and lifestyle omnichannel project.
- Translate business requirements into end-to-end, production-grade solutions.
- Apply Agile methods and values, including Kanban, shift-left practices, iterative delivery, and self-organizing cross-functional teamwork.
- Collaborate openly, provide and receive feedback, and share knowledge to prevent silos.
- Work proactively and independently, making decisions and building software from scratch with attention to detail.
- Apply Agentic Engineering practices.
Requirements
- Expert web development skills with Java and Spring Boot.
- Production-level database modelling and data handling with NoSQL and document databases such as MongoDB.
- Experience with distributed event-processing platforms such as Kafka.
- Strong understanding of RESTful API design, versioning, and documentation using tools such as OpenAPI or Swagger.
- Hands-on experience managing infrastructure with AWS or another cloud provider, Docker, Kubernetes deployments, and Terraform infrastructure as code.
- Strong understanding of clean code, refactoring, and the test pyramid.
- Strong understanding of architecture and software design patterns, including Hexagonal Architecture, Domain-Driven Design, and Saga.
- Experience with GitLab, CI/CD, automated testing, monitoring, and observability.
- Experience maintaining a medium-sized production-grade service with an advanced observability platform such as Datadog and handling incidents.
- Good communication skills, an ability to work independently, and willingness to collaborate and continuously share knowledge.
- Experience with Agile methods and values.
