Development Director II (Mobile Gaming)

Location: Manchester, Cheshire, United Kingdom; hybrid work model.

What you will do

• Own end-to-end delivery of features, live operations content, and new product initiatives across hirify.global projects.
• Establish scalable production standards, processes, workflows, planning models, and KPI frameworks for live-service development.
• Lead roadmap execution, capacity modelling, resource allocation, risk mitigation, and delivery against quality, timeline, budget, and commercial objectives.
• Align Product, Design, Engineering, Art, QA, Analytics, studio leadership, and EA partners around shared outcomes.
• Oversee external development, partner integration, scopes, SLAs, outsourcing budgets, vendor performance, and distributed development collaboration.
• Lead and develop the production organisation, support succession planning, and contribute to studio strategy, organisational design, capability building, and transformation initiatives.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in production, program management, or operations within game development or similar environments.
• Proven experience leading large, cross-functional teams delivering complex products.
• Strong experience in live-service development and continuous content delivery.
• Demonstrated success in operational planning, capacity forecasting, and execution at scale.
• Experience working with external partners or distributed development teams.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, stakeholder management, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Deep understanding of development workflows, pipelines, and team dynamics.
• Experience using data and KPIs to inform decisions, together with risk management capabilities.
• Financial acumen, including budget management and forecasting; ability to build alignment, lead through ambiguity, develop talent, and drive continuous improvement.

Nice to have

• Experience in mobile free-to-play games.
• Background in product management or analytics-driven development.
• Experience contributing to studio- or franchise-level strategy.
• Familiarity with AI/ML applications in content or production pipelines.
