Senior Software Engineer, Payments (Fintech)

Salary: $146,300–$186,600 per year

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices, APIs, and micro-frontends integrating with Stripe and other payment gateways.
• Build secure, reliable, compliant payment solutions focused on scalability and performance.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to translate business requirements into high-quality solutions.
• Contribute across the software development lifecycle, from concept and design through testing and deployment.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote software development and payments security best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues while maintaining high system availability and tracking payment industry innovations.

Requirements

• 5+ years of full-stack software development experience using NodeJS, TypeScript, NestJS, React, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS.
• Experience with Stripe's API and other payment processing platforms.
• Ability to design secure, scalable, and failure-resilient systems.
• Familiarity with relational databases such as PostgreSQL.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Commitment to clean code, continuous improvement, and software engineering best practices.

Nice to have

• Experience in FinTech or other highly regulated industries.
• Previous experience with real-time payment processing systems.
