Applied AI Engineer

Location: Remote, but candidates must be based in the San Francisco Bay metro area; no in-office requirement. The role includes attending evening meetups and events in the SF Bay Area.

Salary: $100,000–$175,000 annual base salary, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Write code and build reference examples for agents and assistants using different frameworks.
• Create technical content, including GitHub repositories, blogs, eBooks, product documentation, workshops, and demos.
• Build Claude Code and Cursor skills for automating systems.
• Improve the growth marketing experience and represent the perspective of AI engineers across the user and developer communities.
• Advocate for Arize's SaaS and open-source offerings, distill developer feedback and market insights, and inform roadmap and go-to-market activities.
• Develop best practices for troubleshooting and improving production ML models and LLM-powered applications, and speak at company-hosted and industry events.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of generative AI.
• Technical experience with the LLM application development stack, including agents, orchestration frameworks, vector databases, and evaluation libraries, with proficiency in Python.
• Engagement in technical communities through platforms such as GitHub, Medium, DZone, Stack Overflow, Reddit, or LinkedIn.
• Data-driven creativity and the ability to ideate and deliver activities that earn the attention and trust of AI and ML practitioners.
• Ability to self-learn, handle technical complexity, and develop an independent point of view.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Willingness to attend evening meetups and events in the San Francisco Bay Area.
