Senior Director of AI Engineering (AI)

What you will do

• Lead organization-wide AI and emerging technology transformation, including AI, GenAI, and technology roadmaps aligned with business strategy and operational goals.
• Anticipate industry, technology, and customer trends and translate long-term strategy into actionable initiatives and measurable outcomes.
• Communicate AI strategy, future opportunities, and business impact through presentations and collaboration across global teams.
• Build and scale engineering leadership by managing multiple Engineering Managers and owning manager-level hiring, development, and performance.
• Partner with senior leaders across Product, Research, Security, and Infrastructure to allocate resources and deliver complex cross-functional AI programs.
• Establish AI engineering governance covering architecture decisions, quality benchmarks, risk management, reliability, security, and compliance.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in software engineering or AI/ML-related fields, including 5+ years managing Engineering Managers.
• Proven experience leading large-scale AI transformation from strategy conception through organizational adoption.
• Strategic understanding of GenAI and AI platform trends, with the ability to make investment and architecture decisions without deep technical execution.
• Experience managing engineering organizations across product lines or regions and driving change and cultural transformation in an amoeba-style or fluid organizational structure.
• Excellent English communication and presentation skills, including the ability to influence senior stakeholders, inspire technical teams, and communicate technology vision across global teams.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with large-scale cloud-native system architecture, including AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Experience leading cross-cultural or international teams.
• Background in cybersecurity or enterprise SaaS.
