Supervisor, Software Engineering (C#/C++)

Location: Hsinchu, Taiwan; domestic and international travel up to 20%.

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and develop software engineers and quality engineers, including hiring, performance management, coaching, and career development.
• Manage workload, priorities, schedules, project plans, risks, resources, and software project execution.
• Oversee software design, development, testing, maintenance, configuration management, and product releases.
• Collaborate with global engineering teams and cross-functional partners in product management, systems engineering, manufacturing, and support.
• Drive continuous improvement in software development processes, product quality, and engineering effectiveness.
• Support customers by gathering requirements, investigating issues, providing technical guidance, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• At least 5 years of experience.
• Experience leading software development projects and engineering teams, and managing and developing technical personnel.
• Experience working directly with customers to understand requirements and resolve technical issues.
• Experience collaborating with geographically distributed or global teams.
• Strong programming experience in C# and C++.
• Experience developing software in a Microsoft Windows environment.
• Understanding of software development methodologies, software architecture, debugging, testing practices, software configuration management, and source control systems.
• Strong leadership, team-building, project management, organizational, problem-solving, analytical, communication, customer relationship, collaboration, and prioritization skills; self-motivated with a positive, can-do attitude.

Nice to have

• Experience with factory automation systems, vision systems, motion control systems, software-to-hardware integration, or interface development.
• Experience in the semiconductor industry.
• Familiarity with industrial equipment, manufacturing systems, or automated machine control software.
