Contracts Manager (Battery Storage)

Location: Hybrid in London, United Kingdom. Applicants must be UK based and already have the right to work in the UK.

What you will do

• Manage legal and commercial activities across utility-scale renewable energy and battery storage projects from development through ready-to-build status and handover.
• Conduct site visits, review legal titles and searches, identify risks, and manage indemnity insurance and property due diligence.
• Draft, negotiate, and manage Heads of Agreement, leases, options, wayleaves, easements, deeds, licences, service agreements, and framework agreements.
• Coordinate with landowners, project owners, agents, network operators, statutory undertakers, solicitors, consultants, and internal connections, planning, commercial, delivery, and finance teams.
• Manage project finance property due diligence, Certificates on Title, legal spend, budgets, consultant progress, data rooms, and acquisition or disposal documentation.
• Track legal obligations digitally, manage project handover documentation, and support the delivery team during transition into construction.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Law with a specialism in property and commercial law or another commercial property law-related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in utility-scale renewable energy project development or at least 3 years of experience in commercial real estate management.
• Proven ability to manage multiple renewable projects from inception to ready-to-build status.
• Advanced project management, negotiation, contract administration, legal, project finance, and budgeting skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and commitment to quality.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, collaboration, and knowledge-transfer skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced, and diverse environment with a proactive and results-oriented approach.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant QHSE software, such as environmental management systems software.
