Senior Full Stack Software Engineer (Java)

Location: 100% remote within the United States; Franklin, TN, US and Brentwood, TN, US are also listed.

Salary: $100,000–$150,000 annually.

What you will do

• Architect, design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade web applications and distributed systems operating at significant scale across multiple business domains.
• Translate business requirements into robust technical designs and write production-quality code.
• Design and operate microservices architectures, including service decomposition, inter-service communication, and observability patterns.
• Develop clean RESTful APIs and React-based front-end applications.
• Deploy cloud-native services to major cloud platforms and support them throughout their operational lifecycle.
• Manage database performance, CI/CD workflows, version control, code reviews, and release processes.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional software development experience building production-grade enterprise applications.
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, computational complexity, and end-to-end system design principles.
• Advanced working knowledge of Java 11 and 17, Spring Boot, and clean, idiomatic RESTful API design.
• Hands-on production experience designing and operating microservices architectures, including service decomposition, inter-service communication, and observability.
• Professional experience developing front-end applications using React.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, or SQL Server, including query tuning and schema design.
• Experience with CI/CD tooling and Git-based workflows, including branching strategies, code reviews, and release management.
• Hands-on experience deploying applications to AWS, Azure, or GCP, including managed services, networking, and identity primitives.

Nice to have

• Experience designing and operating event-driven architectures using Kafka, RabbitMQ, or equivalent streaming platforms.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes in production environments.
• Exposure to distributed system principles such as eventual consistency, CAP trade-offs, idempotency, and saga patterns.
• Experience writing automation tests with modern frameworks and contributing to test-driven and behavior-driven development practices.
• Working familiarity with Angular or Vue.
