2027 Gas Turbine Product Engineering, Summer Intern (Gas Turbine)

Location: DeSoto, Texas, United States; onsite five days a week. Relocation is available. Visa sponsorship is not available, and applicants requiring or likely to require employer-specific sponsorship are not being hired.

Salary: $26.00–$43.00 per hour. The intern hourly rate depends on the pursued major or degree and completed academic hours before the internship starts.

What you will do

• Support gas turbine product design and development activities within turbomachinery products.
• Perform analytical simulations, including finite element analysis, and contribute to the development of design tools.
• Support engine and component testing, production testing, engine assembly, and manufacturing activities.
• Conduct materials research and analysis and support failure analysis.
• Implement design changes and product improvements addressing durability, reliability, performance, cost, and manufacturability.
• Complete a meaningful project under the guidance of a mentor while applying classroom education to industry situations.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a four-year or advanced degree in Engineering or another relevant field.
• Classified by the school as a Sophomore, Junior, Senior planning to attend graduate school, or currently attending graduate school.
• Overall cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
• Must be able to work onsite five days a week in DeSoto, Texas.
• Must not require or be expected to require employer-specific visa sponsorship.
