What you will do

• Develop, enhance, and maintain production mobile applications with React Native, Expo, TypeScript, and modern React for iOS and Android.
• Build new screens and translate high-fidelity designs into pixel-accurate, responsive, and polished mobile interfaces.
• Develop conversational interfaces, content presentation, user interactions, animations, transitions, navigation, and native-feeling experiences.
• Create reusable React Native components using modern React patterns and hooks, and integrate frontend features with backend APIs.
• Troubleshoot UI issues, performance bottlenecks, and platform-specific inconsistencies while maintaining tested, documented, and maintainable code.
• Collaborate with technical stakeholders and backend engineers, clarify requirements, participate in code reviews, and deliver small, reviewable commits and continuous improvements.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of professional experience building and shipping production React Native applications.
• Strong hands-on React Native experience and strong TypeScript proficiency.
• Strong experience with modern React, including hooks, component architecture, and component-based patterns.
• Practical experience with Expo, or strong React Native experience with the ability to work effectively in an Expo codebase.
• Experience delivering production mobile applications for iOS and Android.
• Ability to translate high-fidelity designs into polished mobile interfaces, with strong attention to UI consistency, visual accuracy, typography, spacing, animations, transitions, responsive layouts, and native-feeling interactions.
• Experience integrating frontend applications with REST APIs or similar backend services and maintaining or enhancing existing production applications.
• Experience writing clean, maintainable, testable, and documented code, as well as working with code reviews and collaborative development workflows.
• Ability to quickly understand existing codebases, deliver independently in a fast-paced environment, communicate clearly, and maintain reliable availability during agreed working hours.

Nice to have

• Experience with React 19 and advanced experience with Expo and its ecosystem.
• Experience developing map-based or location-aware mobile interfaces, including Mapbox or react-native-maps.
• Experience building conversational interfaces, chat applications, or real-time messaging experiences.
• Experience developing streaming AI or LLM-powered interfaces.
• Experience with PostHog or similar product analytics platforms, feature flags, and analytics instrumentation.
• Experience with React and Vite for web applications.
• Experience working with AI coding agents to improve development productivity and code quality.
• Previous experience in startup environments or small engineering teams, or with fast-moving products with frequent production releases.
