Staff Frontend Engineer (AI)

Location: Redwood City, California, US; 100% relocation provided. US work authorization sponsorship is available for qualified candidates, including H-1B, TN, L-1, E-3, and F-1 OPT/CPT.

Salary: $225,000–$350,000 per year, plus meaningful equity.

What you will do

• Lead frontend projects from concept to production, owning architecture, implementation, delivery, and iteration.
• Build responsive and reliable interfaces with React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Develop intuitive workflows for AI agent configuration, dashboards, analytics, deployment, monitoring, and improvement.
• Shape frontend architecture, reusable components, and engineering patterns.
• Improve application performance, accessibility, and reliability as usage scales.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, design, and backend teams on APIs and data flows; conduct reviews, testing, mentoring, and hands-on technical leadership.

Requirements

• 9+ years of software engineering experience with deep frontend expertise.
• Staff-level or equivalent scope, including leadership of substantial projects and influence on technical direction.
• Strong experience with React and TypeScript, browser fundamentals, and modern frontend architecture.
• Experience shipping complex web applications and explaining technical and product trade-offs.
• Strong attention to interaction details, usability, accessibility, and performance.
• Ability to define an approach for ambiguous problems and drive delivery.
• Enjoyment of writing code, mentoring engineers, and working closely with product and design.

Nice to have

• Experience building enterprise SaaS, developer tools, real-time interfaces, data visualizations, or AI products.
