Manufacturing Supervisor - 1092 (Quantum Technology)

Location: On-site in Broomfield, Colorado, United States. Candidates must be U.S. Persons: U.S. citizens, permanent residents or green card holders, or workers granted asylum or refugee status. Candidates must not be nationals of the People's Republic of China or Russia unless also U.S. citizens.

Salary: $74,000–$99,000 annually.

What you will do

• Coordinate workloads across the machine shop, prototype fabrication, inspection, and laboratory support functions.
• Oversee laboratory operations, equipment utilization, safety compliance, housekeeping, maintenance, calibration, asset control, and user training.
• Support laboratory expansion, relocation, infrastructure improvements, engineering development, prototype builds, and manufacturing scale-up.
• Improve machining efficiency, throughput, scheduling, capacity planning, design for manufacturability, and prototyping effectiveness.
• Oversee receiving, in-process, and final inspection; standardize inspection practices, documentation, tooling, measurement systems, and metrology processes.
• Lead facility-wide 5S, visual management, audits, Gemba walks, corrective actions, continuous improvement, safety initiatives, and staff development.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 5 years of experience in manufacturing, laboratory operations, prototyping, machine shop, or technical operations environments.
• At least 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience.
• At least 5 years of experience supporting engineering development, prototype builds, or manufacturing operations.
• U.S. Person status is required due to contractual requirements: U.S. citizen, permanent resident or green card holder, or worker granted asylum or refugee status.
• Due to U.S. Government national security requirements, candidates must not be People's Republic of China or Russian nationals unless also U.S. citizens.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Engineering Technology, Operations, or a related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in advanced manufacturing, aerospace, defense, semiconductor, photonics, quantum technology, or highly regulated industries.
• Experience with CNC machining, fabrication, additive manufacturing, or rapid prototyping technologies.
• Knowledge of metrology, calibration systems, inspection methodologies, Lean Manufacturing, 5S, visual management, and continuous improvement.
• Experience managing technical equipment, facilities, or laboratory operations.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Lean Six Sigma certification.
• Experience implementing Gemba management systems and daily management practices.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100, or similar quality management systems.
