Founding Infrastructure Technical Program Manager (AI)

Location: New York, NY or San Francisco, CA; on-site in the United States.

What you will do

• Own end-to-end program plans for customer in-VPC and Bring Your Own Cloud (BYOC) deployments.
• Translate customer requirements into deployment workstreams, owners, milestones, dependencies, and actionable plans.
• Coordinate platform engineering, cloud provisioning, security, networking, model access, and observability teams across hirify.global and customer organizations.
• Run deployment operating cadences, including standups, status reviews, escalations, and launch tracking.
• Translate technical discussions between engineers and customers into clear requirements and next steps.
• Feed customer learnings into standard deployment offerings, runbooks, tooling, and the future TPM function.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in technical program management, infrastructure or platform program management, deployment or solutions engineering, or a similar role delivering complex technical projects across multiple teams.
• Experience structuring complex technical programs, maintaining attention to detail, and following through from plans to results.
• Strong technical foundation in infrastructure, platforms, or complex backend programs, including the ability to understand networking, permissions, provisioning, and other technical dependencies.
• Ability to learn new systems quickly, ask thoughtful questions, build context, and apply knowledge to move programs forward.
• Experience operating within large, complex enterprise organizations involving change management, security reviews, and distributed ownership.
• Clear, structured communication with engineers and leaders, adapted to different audiences.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Nice to have

• Hands-on software, DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering background, or experience with AWS, VPCs, IAM, Kubernetes, or Terraform.
• Experience deploying software into customer-owned cloud environments, including BYOC, VPC, or air-gapped environments, especially for banks or other regulated institutions.
• Familiarity with LLM infrastructure, model gateways, Bedrock, Azure OpenAI, or observability for AI systems.
• Experience building a program-management function from scratch at an early-stage company.
