Supplier Enablement Specialist (Payments)

Location: Remote within the United States; must be able to work across U.S. time zones.

Starting pay rate: $40.00 per hour; actual compensation depends on experience, skills, certifications, training, and location.

What you will do

• Conduct outbound phone and email outreach to suppliers and explain approved commercial card and ACH payment options.
• Guide suppliers through electronic payment enrollment, follow-ups, closure, and handoff.
• Review supplier records, verify contact and payment information, research questions, and provide accurate responses.
• Coordinate communication among suppliers, business customers, and internal financial institution teams.
• Identify exceptions and escalate commercial, technical, policy, compliance, and other nonstandard issues.
• Maintain case documentation, track enrollment progress, provide activity data for reporting, and manage high-volume workflows.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in client service, sales, operations, financial services, payments, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of direct supplier enablement experience supporting electronic payment adoption.
• Professional outbound calling or sales experience with effective communication with business contacts.
• Moderate Microsoft Excel proficiency, including formulas, filtering, sorting, and formatting.
• Experience with CRM systems, call-tracking platforms, workflow tools, or case-management systems.
• Ability to review records, research questions, apply approved solutions, maintain accurate documentation, and manage multiple cases and competing priorities.
• Strong verbal communication, professional telephone manner, business email writing, and stakeholder communication skills.
• Ability to explain payment processes clearly, distinguish routine questions from escalation issues, work independently, and collaborate with suppliers, customers, and internal teams.
• Reliable follow-through, attention to detail, service quality, and ability to meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy.

Nice to have

• Experience with supplier onboarding, business payments, commercial cards, ACH, Treasury Management, accounts payable, or payment conversion initiatives.
• Experience with a bank, payment provider, fintech organization, or large corporate payments program.
• Experience in a regulated or compliance-driven environment.
