Company

hirify.global develops vehicles and mobility experiences focused on safety, connectivity, intelligent software, advanced hardware, and next-generation transportation.

What you will do

  • Own technical integration across vehicle closure systems, architectures, and vehicle families, including priorities, ownership, review cadence, and escalation paths.
  • Maintain integrated execution plans covering requirements, design maturity, engineering release, tooling, builds, validation, manufacturing readiness, launch, and post-launch actions.
  • Integrate requirements for fit and finish, noise and vibration, sealing, water management, durability, safety, ergonomics, appearance, compliance, manufacturability, service, and customer experience.
  • Lead cross-functional technical workgroups, integration reviews, trade studies, change decisions, issue resolution, and launch recovery activities.
  • Partner with manufacturing, plants, suppliers, quality, validation, and program teams to resolve technical issues and ensure capable processes and executable reaction plans.
  • Develop technical standards, reusable integration methods, decision logs, lessons learned, analytics, simulation, visualization, and automation practices while mentoring engineers and program leads.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
  • Significant experience leading complex automotive development, vehicle integration, and program execution across multiple launches and competing workstreams.
  • Experience with vehicle closure systems such as doors, liftgates, decklids, hoods, latches, hinges, seals, windows, or related mechanisms.
  • Ability to make independent technical decisions and lead cross-functional work without direct authority.
  • Strong understanding of vehicle development, engineering release, validation, manufacturing readiness, and launch execution.
  • Experience translating requirements into executable plans and production-ready solutions, and resolving risks affecting safety, quality, customer expectations, cost, timing, performance, or manufacturability.
  • Strong analytical, planning, organizational, presentation, facilitation, and problem-solving skills, including managing ambiguity, resolving conflict, and communicating decisions to senior leaders.
  • Proficiency with Teamcenter, VisMockup, NX, workflow or ergonomics simulation, dimensional-quality tools, or comparable engineering systems.
  • Experience with Lean/Kaizen, Six Sigma, DFSS, DFMEA/PFMEA, PPAP/APQP, Red X, quality-plan execution, or cost reduction.
  • Ability to collaborate with DREs, studios, program teams, manufacturing, quality, validation, suppliers, plants, and technical leadership.
  • Ability to work primarily in Warren, Michigan, with travel to plants, suppliers, and other GM locations.

Nice to have

  • Advanced degree in engineering, business, or a related field.
  • Additional experience in body structures, vehicle integration, design release, dimensional quality, validation, or launch.
  • Experience leading technical workgroups, integration reviews, change approval boards, issue-resolution teams, or architecture decisions.
  • Experience developing technical standard work, reusable methods, and engineering best practices.
  • Experience applying analytics, simulation, visualization, automation, or digital engineering tools to improve technical decisions.
  • Experience leading or supporting engineering or manufacturing automation projects.
  • Experience with supplier integration, tooling, manufacturing process development, and plant launch readiness.
  • Knowledge of GM product development, quality, launch, and change management processes.
