Agent Strategist Lead (AI)

Location: On-site in San Francisco, CA or New York, NY, United States

Salary: $140K–$280K plus equity

What you will do

• Lead the Agent Development Life Cycle from initial scope through conversation design, tooling, evaluation, launch, and continuous production iteration.
• Work hands-on as an individual contributor during the first 2–4 months, then lead and coach strategists while maintaining direct involvement in agent development.
• Serve as the senior sponsor for key customer deployments and manage the strategist team, including hiring, onboarding, and defining success standards.
• Advise enterprise executives on business goals and AI strategy, and run working sessions with customer teams to troubleshoot agents and maintain delivery quality.
• Surface customer needs, prioritize initiatives, and collaborate with research, product, and platform teams to influence the evolution of hirify.global’s core platform.

Requirements

• Strong customer focus, including experience understanding business needs, working in complex organizations, and building trusted customer relationships.
• Clear, direct, and persuasive communication with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and strategic problem-solving skills in ambiguous, fast-changing environments.
• A hands-on leadership style that combines high standards, empathy, speed, and quality.
• Technical aptitude, including the ability to read API documentation, understand data models and system architecture, and follow engineering trade-offs in design discussions.
• Experience running and leading teams that manage multiple complex, high-visibility projects simultaneously and driving them to outcomes.
• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience, and/or an MBA or comparable experience at the intersection of technology and business.

Nice to have

• Experience building or deploying AI/LLM agents in production, including hands-on experience with evaluation frameworks, agent tooling, RAG, and prompt engineering.
• Experience as a founder, product or strategy leader, or startup operator with high ownership and urgency.
• Experience managing teams in product, consulting, solutions, or other customer-facing roles.
