Google Solutions Architect (Google Cloud)

Location: New York City, US; remote and hybrid work options are available, country-dependent.

Salary: $200,000–$270,000 annually, depending on experience and location.

What you will do

• Architect and lead secure, scalable, cloud-native solutions on Google Cloud Platform for enterprise transformation initiatives.
• Provide technical leadership across cloud architecture, data engineering, security, governance, and platform services.
• Design data processing pipelines using Dataflow, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, and Apache Beam.
• Implement security architecture, networking, resource governance, observability, compliance, and secure access across GCP and Google Workspace.
• Champion DevOps, CI/CD, serverless, Kubernetes, and modern deployment practices using Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, GKE, and Cloud Repositories.
• Design agentic AI solutions, translate business requirements into architectural blueprints, mentor engineers, review designs, and optimize system performance.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in cloud architecture and engineering, with a strong focus on Google Cloud Platform.
• Proven experience leading enterprise-scale cloud projects and data platforms.
• CISSP or CISM certification.
• Deep technical knowledge of Google BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Dataflow, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, GKE, IAM, IAP, Organization Policy Service, Cloud Logging and Monitoring, Vertex AI, Gemini Enterprise, Looker, Google Workspace, GCP Networking, and Cloud Repositories.
• Strong development experience with Java, Apache Beam, Python, and Terraform.
• Experience with standard logging formats and text/log-based processing.
• Strong understanding of secure design principles and cloud governance.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to present technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Logscale, Secureonix, Syslog-NG, SCC, SecOps, and WIZ.
• Experience with security operations, SIEM integration, or threat modeling in cloud environments.
• Experience leading small to medium-sized development teams of 6–8 engineers.
• Experience with enterprise data governance, metadata management, or cloud-native data lakes.
• Hands-on experience implementing AI/ML solutions using Vertex AI.
• Interest in DevSecOps, serverless frameworks, and next-generation cloud-native tooling.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and consulting environments.
