Forward Deployed AI Engineer

What you will do

• Partner with teams across hirify.global to identify high-value AI opportunities and transform manual or complex workflows.
• Translate loosely defined business challenges into secure, production-ready AI tools, agents, assistants, and automated workflows.
• Build integrations with enterprise systems and data using APIs, connectors, MCP, retrieval, structured outputs, and human oversight.
• Develop secure grounding and retrieval capabilities using ingestion, metadata, embeddings, search, and reranking.
• Implement authentication, authorization, audit logging, observability, cost controls, evaluations, regression testing, deployment, and monitoring.
• Measure business outcomes and turn successful implementations into reusable components, templates, reference architectures, and documented patterns.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience building, deploying, and supporting production applications.
• Strong Python proficiency and experience building APIs, integrations, and automation connected to enterprise systems and data.
• Hands-on experience with large language models, commercial or open model APIs, AI agents, and agentic workflows.
• Experience building and deploying enterprise AI agents or agentic workflows with platforms such as Glean, Claude, or comparable enterprise AI, agent, and orchestration platforms.
• Ability to work directly with business stakeholders, translate ambiguous needs into technical solutions, and iterate from user feedback.
• Working knowledge of RAG, including embeddings, semantic or hybrid search, prompt and context engineering, and structured model outputs.
• Experience integrating Microsoft 365, Salesforce, Slack, Jira, Confluence, ERP systems, and modern data platforms.
• Understanding of enterprise application security, including authentication, authorization, OAuth/OIDC, role-based access controls, and permission-aware data access.
• Familiarity with MCP or similar standards, vector databases, enterprise search, and knowledge retrieval systems.
• Proficiency with automated testing, version control, CI/CD, application observability, and production support.
• Demonstrated ownership, sound judgment, cross-functional collaboration, and excellent written and verbal English communication.
