Joint Interface Control Office (JICO)

Location: Fort Bragg, North Carolina, United States; onsite professional office environment. Must be a U.S. citizen and eligible for a DoD Personal Security Clearance. Travel to CONUS and international sites is required, including worldwide mobile training team deployments.

What you will do

• Develop, deliver, revise, and maintain JID and JTO interface training curricula, courses, courseware, multimedia content, schedules, student materials, and administrative documentation.
• Liaise with Combatant Commander staffs to plan and prepare exercises, and represent JID at joint and combined interoperability working groups.
• Prepare or review OPTASK LINK messages and assist with selecting, modifying, and requesting Link 16 networks for JTO 2 exercises.
• Analyze multi-TDL architecture performance and implement changes based on observations.
• Coordinate the procurement and evaluation of JICO automated tools, maintain their configuration management, and support users with LPDS, Frequency Clearance, and TSDF issues.
• Support worldwide deployed mobile training teams and conduct formal academic, field, joint, allied, and coalition training.

Requirements

• Graduate of JT-301.
• Associate's Degree or an equivalent combination of education, certification, and related experience.
• 10 years of Datalink experience.
• Military Instructor experience.
• Ability to deploy worldwide with Mobile Training Teams, often under field 3 conditions.
• Secret security clearance required; must be eligible for a DoD Personal Security Clearance.
• Only U.S. citizens are eligible due to U.S. Government contract requirements.
• Ability to sit for long periods and stand for extended periods during formal platform instruction.

Nice to have

• Experience with Variable Message Format over Combat Net Radio (VMF over CNR).
• Experience with Digitally Aided Close Air Support (DACAS).
• Experience developing and executing simulations or live virtual construct (LVC) activities requiring tactical data link integration.
• Expertise operating, integrating, configuring, and modifying C2/TDL systems including BC3, MSCT, TDF, CAC2S, ADSI, TRAX, JRE, MOJO, and FAADC2.
• Experience planning, building, and requesting new networks with the service Network Design Facility.
