Sr. Associate Engineer–Test/Validation (Mechanical Engineering)

Location: Onsite five days a week in Mossville, Illinois; facility at 14009 N Old Galena Road, Technical Center Building TC-L, Chillicothe, Illinois. No telecommuting. Up to 25% domestic travel to hirify.global, dealer, and customer locations for engine testing.

Salary: $130,354.00–$133,810.00 per year.

What you will do

• Develop, plan, execute, and manage validation activities through on-machine and bench testing of heavy equipment machinery components.
• Use acceleration, strain, displacement, temperature, pressure, motion, load, and torque transducers with data acquisition systems.
• Apply NVH analysis software to interpret vibration measurements, assess component durability, and evaluate vibration parameters against internal and industry acceptance criteria.
• Plan projects and schedules, procure and prepare hardware, set up tests and benches, collect and analyze data, and generate reports.
• Communicate results and solutions with design and simulation teams while collaborating on NPI and NTI programs and resolving CPI issues.
• Improve and develop test methods in response to evolving technologies, industry standards, and unique testing situations.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Materials Science plus 1 year of experience in dynamic testing and analysis of engine components or a related occupation; alternatively, a bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in one of these fields plus 3 years of such experience.
• Employment experience with Digital Signal Processing, experimental modal analysis, data acquisition systems, strain gage-based measurements, and material fatigue analysis.
