Founding RF Systems Engineer (Phased Arrays)

Location: On-site in the Boston area, just north of Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States.

Salary: Up to $180,000 base salary plus founding-team equity.

Develops advanced vertically integrated 3D semiconductor systems combining RF, silicon, power, and packaging for defense radar and satellite communications.

What you will do

• Translate customer requirements into RF system architectures, budgets, and block-level specifications.
• Make design trade-offs across phased arrays, beamformers, T/R modules, and transceiver chains.
• Define link budgets, noise figure, linearity, EIRP, and dynamic-range requirements.
• Coordinate with RFIC/MMIC, electromagnetics, analog, and packaging teams to deliver integrated hardware.
• Validate assembled systems through measurement, calibration, and over-the-air characterization.
• Serve as the technical interface for customer systems teams from requirements definition through acceptance.

Requirements

• Phased arrays experience is mandatory.
• Personal experience taking RF or millimeter-wave hardware through development and into shipped radar, satellite, or wireless products.
