AI/ML Solutions Architect

What you will do

• Define technical architecture and execution guidance for AI/ML initiatives across U.S. Air Force and U.S. Army programs.
• Coordinate cross-team dependencies and align specialized engineering teams across a matrixed organization.
• Translate mission goals into practical engineering execution and communicate technical constraints, risks, and opportunities.
• Make complex tradeoff decisions that move initiatives from concept to operational delivery.
• Mentor technical leaders and improve decision quality across the organization.
• Connect technical delivery to fleet maintenance, asset availability, and military readiness outcomes.

Requirements

• Active Secret security clearance.
• 10+ years of experience in technical leadership, software engineering, or data architecture, focused on AI/ML systems.
• Proven expertise architecting and overseeing complex data and ML workflows in Databricks.
• Ability to lead through influence, drive consensus, and promote technical excellence across teams.
• Track record of making high-stakes tradeoff decisions balancing technical excellence with mission timelines.
• Exceptional communication skills for discussing technical constraints, risks, and opportunities with technical teams and senior government stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with the CDAO War Data Platform technology stack, formerly known as Advana, and/or the BLADE environment.
• Experience with military logistics, CBM+, or Department of Defense sustainment operations.
• Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, AI/ML, or a related quantitative field.
