Manager, Talent Programs

Location: Hybrid if based in Ottawa or Toronto; remote for other locations in Canada.

What you will do

• Translate Talent strategy and organizational priorities into an integrated Talent Programs roadmap, including priorities, sequencing, and delivery plans.
• Lead the evolution of Talent and capability frameworks covering competencies, skills identification, talent mapping, career development, and career pathways.
• Design, implement, and evolve talent reviews, succession planning, performance management, goal setting, and related Talent practices.
• Integrate leadership and manager development, employee learning and development, employee listening, and Talent enablement roadmaps.
• Use employee, talent, skills, and business insights to identify priorities, measure impact, and guide continuous improvement.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Talent professionals while managing portfolio resources, external partnerships, and investments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business, Learning and Development, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in Human Resources, Talent Management, Organizational Development, Learning and Development, or a related field, including leading complex Talent programs and initiatives in a global organization.
• Broad Talent Management expertise in performance management, talent assessment, succession, development, employee listening, competencies, skills, and career development practices.
• Experience developing or evolving Talent frameworks such as competency models, skills frameworks, talent mapping, or career development approaches.
• Experience translating Talent strategy and business priorities into frameworks, program roadmaps, and scalable solutions, and leading complex cross-functional initiatives with enterprise-wide impact.
• Strong strategic thinking, consulting, problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills.
• Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills, including partnering with senior leaders and HR stakeholders across a global organization.
• Demonstrated people leadership experience, including setting direction, clarifying accountabilities, coaching and developing experienced professionals, and fostering ownership and collaboration.
• Strong digital fluency and curiosity, including the ability to identify opportunities to use technology, AI, and emerging practices.
• Strong portfolio and program management capability, including balancing priorities, allocating resources, and delivering outcomes across multiple enterprise initiatives.
