Rust Developer / Rust Architect / Rust Backend Developer (AI)

Location: Global, fully remote; approximately 15 hours per week with a flexible schedule, including weekends.

Salary: $50–$70 per hour; output-based compensation for tasks that meet project specifications.

What you will do

• Solve and validate Rust backend problems involving APIs, persistence, concurrency, performance, and reliability.
• Translate functional requirements and performance targets into reproducible implementation and testing workflows.
• Set up Rust crate workspaces, configuration files, test fixtures, databases, dependency services, and containerized environments.
• Evaluate backend correctness, scalability, and failure-handling mechanisms.
• Develop and review technical solutions that meet production-quality standards.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of Rust, backend service design, APIs, data systems, and production software architecture.
• Experience analyzing backend correctness, performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Practical Rust programming experience through professional work, research, or open-source projects.
• Demonstrated ownership of Rust architecture and backend development.
• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
