Shape the Future of Saab IT - Head of Governance, Risk & Compliance

Location: Solna, Göteborg, Jönköping, Linköping, Malmö or Stockholm, Sweden; alternative locations may be possible. The role requires travel to meet teams and stakeholders.

What you will do

• Lead, develop and engage employees and capabilities within IT governance, risk and compliance.
• Define and evolve the IT governance, risk and compliance framework, including requirements, decision rights and accountability across Group IT, Business Areas and Group Functions.
• Translate legal, regulatory, contractual and internal requirements into IT policies, controls and assigned ownership.
• Oversee compliance monitoring, control assessments, evidence collection and continuous improvement.
• Provide senior management with consolidated views of IT risk, compliance status and internal-control weaknesses, escalating issues requiring decisions or intervention.
• Govern IT risk assessments and exception processes, embed requirements into technology investments and transformation initiatives, and advise senior leaders.

Requirements

• Academic degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• Strong people leadership and talent development skills.
• Extensive experience in IT governance, risk management, compliance or internal control.
• Experience establishing governance frameworks, policies and decision models in large global organisations.
• Strong understanding of risk management, internal controls and regulatory requirements.
• Experience advising and influencing senior leaders in complex organisations.
• Experience driving governance, risk or compliance transformation initiatives.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Fluency in both Swedish and English, written and spoken.
• Ability to pass security vetting under current security-protection regulations; additional citizenship obligations may apply to positions requiring security clearance.
