AI Platform Engineer Capabilities

What you will do

• Define and maintain AI architecture standards and reference architectures covering monitoring, networking, security-by-design, privacy, and auditability.
• Prototype emerging AI implementation patterns and turn them into reusable enterprise platform services, SDKs, templates, and reference implementations.
• Design shared capabilities for ML, agentic AI, and AI systems, including observability and access management.
• Collaborate with architecture, security, risk, and data governance teams to meet regulatory and compliance requirements.
• Shape the long-term AI developer experience and drive adoption of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence as a Platform capabilities.
• Design cloud-native solutions, implement CI/CD and platform automation, and integrate AI services with Azure Kubernetes Service and supporting platforms.

Requirements

• Strong experience in platform engineering, AI/ML operationalization, and scalable cloud-native solution design.
• Hands-on expertise with Azure Services, Azure DevOps Repositories and Pipelines, and CI/CD practices.
• Proficiency with Docker and Azure Kubernetes Service.
• Deep understanding of governance, security-by-design, and compliance requirements, ideally in banking or another highly regulated environment.
• Experience building SDKs, AI accelerators, and reusable templates for development teams.
• Background with modern data platforms and cataloging tools such as Databricks and Unity Catalog.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for aligning security, risk, data governance, and other cross-functional teams.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with VS Code and AI-assisted coding tools such as Copilot.
• Experience with Nexus, Twistlock, security tooling, artifact management, and vulnerability scanning.
• Knowledge of Agentic AI and complex ML system architectures.
• Experience defining or implementing Developer Experience strategies.
