Senior Software Engineer, Backend (AI)

What you will do

• Design, build, and optimize critical backend systems powering the ride-hailing platform and serving millions of users.
• Work with Product, Design, and Analytics teams to clarify requirements, provide technical options and trade-offs, and plan delivery timelines.
• Collaborate with Android, iOS, Backend, QA, and ML Engineers to implement scalable solutions.
• Write reusable, scalable, and testable code and ensure timely, high-quality feature delivery.
• Review code and engineering specifications, participate in on-call duty, and triage, debug, mitigate, and fix complex issues.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing and engineering quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience in distributed systems environments.
• Proficiency in at least one backend programming language, such as Go, C++, Python, or a similar language.
• In-depth experience using AI agents to solve problems.
• Knowledge of computer science fundamentals, including algorithms, data structures, and system design principles.
• Experience developing large-scale, high-throughput distributed systems.
• Solid knowledge of relational databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL, and NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB, MongoDB, and Cassandra.
• Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure, including auto-scaling and resource management.
