Software Engineer (FinTech)

Location: Shah Alam, Malaysia

What you will do

• Analyze, design, develop, troubleshoot, debug, deploy, and maintain enterprise, high-volume, transactional FinTech systems.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, operations, and security professionals to design, develop, test, deploy, and run financial services products.
• Develop effort estimates and implementation plans based on requirements documents.
• Design test plans and support testing tools and processes.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and stay current with technology advances and company standards.
• Maintain high standards of user experience, quality, reliability, and security.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or an equivalent field.
• At least 2 years of software development experience in productive, high-energy teams.
• Strong proficiency in object-oriented programming, .NET Framework, .NET Core, T-SQL, Web API, MVC, C#/VB.Net, C++, and Angular.
• Experience with source code management tools such as SVN and Git.
• Experience with API and dependency integration.
• Positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and ability to contribute in a quality team lead role.
• Ability to work independently, meet tight deadlines, remain organized and detail-oriented, and solve problems effectively.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; professional, confident, and assertive.
• Collaborative mindset, proven team-player abilities, and a solid delivery track record building software products.

Nice to have

• Experience building financial services products such as payments, banking, or insurance applications.
• Experience building applications with AWS services.
