Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack, Fintech)

Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; hybrid schedule with 2 days working from home and 3 days in the office.

Salary: Up to MYR 9,500 per month.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack web applications using NestJS on the backend and React or Vue.js on the frontend.
• Build and optimize RESTful APIs connecting frontend and backend services.
• Work with PostgreSQL, MySQL, NoSQL databases, and caching solutions.
• Integrate third-party services, APIs, libraries, and cloud infrastructure including AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Write maintainable, scalable code and optimize application performance, security, and reliability.
• Collaborate with designers, product managers, and engineers on user-centric solutions and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• 4+ years of full-stack development experience with a strong focus and priority on backend development.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript and deep experience with NestJS.
• Frontend expertise in React and Vue.js, including JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS with Bootstrap or Tailwind.
• Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or other relational databases.
• Familiarity with NoSQL databases and caching solutions.
• Experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or other cloud platforms.
• Strong knowledge of integrating third-party services, APIs, and libraries.
• Ability and willingness to quickly learn Node.js, Next.js, and other modern stacks as required, and to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced agile environment.
