Project Manager (Global Trade)

Location: Tokyo, Japan; hybrid work model for office-based roles. The role involves implementation and integration work at client sites in Japan, with occasional travel as a preferred qualification.

What you will do

• Lead project management and consultants delivering implementation and integration of hirify.global ONESOURCE software solutions at client sites in Japan.
• Support professional services pre-sales activities, including product and technology due diligence and development of statements of work.
• Create and review project scopes, schedules, delivery plans, requirements, cost estimates, resource plans, communication plans, risk mitigation plans, and issue resolution plans.
• Manage scope changes, customer expectations, project dependencies, risks, issues, deliverables, resources, and schedules in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Coordinate project progress with sponsors, steering committees, senior leadership, customers, and other stakeholders.
• Lead functional and process requirements workshops, define business, process, functional, and data requirements, deliver client training, and coach the local technology and professional services team.

Requirements

• 5–10 years of experience successfully managing complex, client-facing projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Accounting and Finance, Project Management, or an equivalent field.
• Proven experience with enterprise software implementations, project life cycles, and software implementation methodologies.
• Proven project management experience in software solutions implementation projects involving Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Trade Management, or ERP systems.
• Native-level Japanese language skills and good written and spoken English communication skills.
• Ability to learn quickly and work with minimum supervision.
• Ability to independently coach, mentor, and motivate project teams while promoting an accountable and collaborative approach.

Nice to have

• Experience in consulting or professional services organizations specializing in supply chain management or global trade management.
• Ability to communicate project expectations effectively to team members and stakeholders at all levels, including business representatives, partners, customers, and consultants.
• PMP or equivalent project management certification.
• Fluency in another Asian language.
• Experience working in multinational companies.
• Flexibility to travel occasionally.
