Solution Architect – AI, Automation & Finance Transformation

Location: Onsite in Spring, Texas, United States of America; primarily working from an HPE office.

Base salary: USD 157,000–361,000 annual salary in Texas; variable incentives may also be offered.

What you will do

• Own target-state architecture and roadmaps for AI, GenAI, agentic AI, automation, analytics, and finance transformation solutions.
• Design LLM and agentic architectures, including orchestration, tool calling, RAG, memory, human approval checkpoints, evaluation, guardrails, and fallback behavior.
• Design data, integration, identity, deployment, and audit architectures across Azure, GreenLake, Databricks, SAP, Salesforce, Anaplan, ServiceNow, Power BI, Okta, and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Lead architecture, security, data governance, and technical design reviews; make platform, build-versus-buy, pattern, and cost decisions.
• Lead engineers, data teams, and vendors through implementation, build proofs of concept, review code and designs, and prevent architectural drift.
• Support production stabilization, root-cause analysis, risk remediation, technical mentoring, stakeholder communication, and portfolio planning.

Requirements

• 10+ years in software engineering, data, or AI, including at least 3 years in solution architecture or technical leadership.
• Enterprise solution architecture experience with multiple production systems that remained in service and received post-release support.
• Strong integration architecture, API design, event-driven patterns, data architecture, architecture documentation, decision records, and non-functional design covering scale, resilience, performance, observability, and cost.
• Hands-on enterprise GenAI or LLM delivery experience, including RAG, tool and function calling, and agentic orchestration.
• Working knowledge of LangChain, LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, AutoGen, Copilot Studio, or equivalent agentic frameworks; Azure OpenAI or comparable enterprise LLM platforms; evaluation, guardrails, and cost management.
• Understanding of the machine-learning lifecycle, including feature engineering, training, deployment, monitoring, and drift, plus experience with enterprise automation and RPA platforms.
• Strong current Python, strong SQL, Databricks, cloud data warehouses, modern data pipelines, Microsoft Azure, containerization, CI/CD, and infrastructure-as-code.
• Working knowledge of Power BI, Power Platform, and Microsoft 365 as delivery surfaces for finance solutions.
• Enterprise Finance delivery experience in areas such as forecasting, financial reporting, reconciliation, transfer pricing, deal desk, tax, or order and backlog analytics, plus understanding of financial controls, audit expectations, and governance constraints.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Science, or a related discipline; equivalent industry experience will be considered.

Nice to have

• Architecture certification such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Databricks, or TOGAF.
• Experience establishing AI governance, model risk, or responsible-AI frameworks in a regulated enterprise.
• Experience defining reusable platform capabilities or internal developer experience adopted across multiple teams.
• Exposure to FinOps and cloud cost optimization for AI and data workloads.
• Experience operating in a global organization across multiple regions and time zones.
