Finance Manager Global Pathology and Microbiology (Healthcare Diagnostics)

Location: Hybrid role based at the office in Hoofddorp, Netherlands or Westbrook, Maine, with a minimum of eight days per month on-site.

What you will do

• Lead financial strategy and business partnering for global Pathology and Microbiology reference laboratory operations.
• Own forecasting, budgeting, strategic planning, reporting, period-end close, accruals, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Partner with capacity and demand planning teams to align case-volume forecasts, staffing assumptions, laboratory costs, and financial plans.
• Model capacity options including pathologist hiring, contract and locum coverage, case routing, digital pathology, and workflow automation.
• Provide financial decision support on test mix, pricing, volume growth, productivity, margins, new test launches, portfolio expansion, and automation investments.
• Manage financial controls and a team of finance professionals while partnering with Pathology, Microbiology, Lab Operations, Product Management, TechOps, and senior leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
• 8+ years of progressive FP&A or finance experience, including ownership of complex planning cycles and senior-level business partnership.
• 5+ years of people management experience with a record of building and developing high-performing teams.
• Experience with capacity planning, demand forecasting, or workforce planning.
• Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Ability to influence senior leaders and balance the needs of multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced, global environment.
• Fluency in English.

• Master’s degree or MBA.
• Laboratory, healthcare diagnostics, or regulated operations experience.
• Experience with BI tools and financial systems.
