Process Engineer – Aerospace Transparencies

Location: On-site at the Huntsville, Alabama facility; only U.S. Citizens, Green Card holders, and political asylees or refugees are eligible to apply.

What you will do

• Develop and troubleshoot plant process systems, implement process strategies, manage process resources, and maintain process documentation.
• Support production teams and operators with technical guidance and resolve day-to-day manufacturing barriers.
• Drive improvements in product quality, process capacity, productivity, variation, cycle times, and setup times.
• Lead structured problem-solving and improvement projects using root cause analysis, fishbone diagrams, and 5-Why methods.
• Track and analyze production metrics to identify improvement opportunities and measure progress.
• Collaborate with quality, design engineering, new product development, safety, analytical laboratory, operators, and manufacturing engineering teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a scientific discipline.
• Three or more years of experience in engineering or an equivalent environment.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work effectively with floor-level operators and manufacturing, quality, and design engineering teams to drive positive change.

Nice to have

• Experience with Lean and/or Six Sigma.
