Security Engineer III (Cybersecurity)

Location: West Point, Georgia, United States; on-site 5 days per week

Salary: $80,000–$115,000 annually; target range $95,000–$105,000

What you will do

• Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise security technologies including DLP, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, WAF, and database monitoring.
• Develop operational documentation, technical reports, proposals, and security runbooks.
• Monitor networks and systems, analyze alerts, respond to incidents, and ensure remediation of vulnerabilities and breaches.
• Conduct technical risk assessments, vulnerability analyses, and security architecture reviews.
• Evaluate, integrate, optimize, and automate security tools and operational processes.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, provide security reporting to senior leadership, and support audits and compliance initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience, with 7+ years in IT and at least 3 years in security engineering or operations.
• Hands-on experience with multiple enterprise security technologies, including IDS/IPS, firewalls, VPNs, endpoint security, NAC, and directory services such as AD/LDAP.
• Ability to implement, integrate, and manage information security technologies and processes in medium to complex environments.
• Strong understanding of security risk assessment methodologies, frameworks, and secure network architecture design.
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical teams and executive stakeholders and collaborate cross-functionally.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and produce high-quality technical documentation.

Nice to have

• Industry-recognized certifications such as CISSP, CISSP-ISSAP, SANS, or equivalent.
• Experience defining security strategies, frameworks, and long-term roadmaps.
• Exposure to security process automation and operational efficiency improvements.
• Experience with network packet inspection and advanced threat analysis techniques.
